BDSM Mentors was found in 2007 by Colin Sir and Lord Dan, two members of the Monarch Brotherhood in Los Angeles. The group actively taught workshops, classes, and held events from 2007 to 2011. After Lord Dan’s passing in 2010, BDSM Mentors hosted several events, but discontinued classes after 2011.

In 2023, BDSM Mentors has relaunched, with a dedication to the same principles and ideals of the original program, bringing high quality BDSM education to Southern California.
